Birthday Party

Because their birthdays are so close together and they are so close to Christmas, we celebrate them with a shared party. And this year, same as last, we celebrated with friends and family at Pump It Up!! We, young and old, had tons of fun. My friend Diane takes the prize on fastest in the obstacle course, she and Leigh Ann are pretty speedy. Uncle Mark is the fastest of everyone though, not sure how he gets through there so fast!!! He was in and out in about 2 seconds. This year though I beat my sweet husband. That's a first EVER, he always wins, however this year his broken toe aided me in my win! Thank you all for coming and helping make their day so great! Here are some pics of the family.

Christmas parade and play

On our way to the Christmas parade.
Dressing up as Santa, he was the Santa for his class play called Santa's problem. He couldn't figure out what to put on top of the tree.

Here is Santa and his classmates as they get ready for their play.

Ho ho ho!!! I dressed him in the gym then had to head across the playground to get to his classroom, the first graders on the playground knocked him down to see what was in his bag. Dalton just laughed, he couldn't believe that they really thought he was Santa.

Silly Faces.

PARTY TIME

Dyl's pre party face....
and Dalton's pre party face. They are two happy boys. Dalton is now 6 and Dyl is 3!! Wow our babies are growing up. And they are such precious children. I'm so glad that God has blessed my life with them.

Funnies

On my way to take Dylan to daycare this morning we stopped by our favorite gas station for breakfast. If you live in Tallassee you know that the gas stations here have great food. REALLY! Anyway I heard a lady come in asking for a job, the lady behind the counter said "No I'm sorry"

Woman looking for a job: Well I just don't know what we're going to do, I have been demoted.
They say that I act like I know what I'm doing and then sometimes I don't know what I'm doing. I had to go in this morning and show the new guy what to do.

Woman behind the counter: Oh no that's awful. I know that was hard to do and you hated that.

Woman looking for job: It was really hard, I've been crying all weekend, if it wasn't for my
lexipro I don't know what I would do.

TRUE STORY!! I really did overhear this conversation as well as everyone else in the store. Helloooooo can you say she won't be getting a job anytime soon. She told this place of employment that her last place of employment said sometimes she knew what to do and sometimes she didn't and that she has to take lexipro! Oh my!

Second funny: Dylan didn't want to go to school this morning after our nice week together. He was very upset and told Dalton that he was sick. Then he said that he didn't want to go because he didn't like his teacher. Dalton asked why he didn't like her and Dylan said that his teacher kicks him. Dalton said maybe she's just playing with you and kicking you easily?? (uh no! I said no Dalton we don't play with people by kicking them but I'm sure that she's not kicking him at all) Dylan yes she does. I said where does she kick you? His reply "in the face"
Okay okay notice he didn't say she yells, or pops his hand, both of these would be believeable. Nope his teacher kicks him in the face. Oh Dylan thankfully you don't have the art of lying down yet. Funny funny boy!

Baptism Sunday

Dalton got up with BIG smiles. We had 2 presents for this special occasion. We got him a new Bible and Dylan picked out a Bibleman mask and cape for him. He loved both of his gifts. We are so proud of him.

Dalton had to stand on 2 cement blocks. Then they both had to be moved for the next young lady to be baptized.
Dalton was floating away once he went under. Poppa had to catch him I think he wanted to go for a swim. These pics are blurry because the camera was focusing on the pulpit that was right in front of me but at least we have the memories.
And the afterparty at Grammys. All of Dalton's aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents were present on both sides of the family. We are thankful that they were all there to witness the event. They stopped everything in their own worlds to let Dalton know how huge this was!! We are all so proud.

And the guys did the clean up. I've already said it to each of you before, but thank you so much for sharing in this special day with Dalton. He still talks about it and loves that Jesus now lives in his heart.

Cabinet fun

I found this when I walked in the kitchen the other day.
I heard voices in the cabinet.

And then I found the children. Now I've moved all the dishes to he bottom shelf. They can get in the cabinet and play all the time. Their favorite time to do this is on Sunday mornings.

When they sit under the drawers they call it their carport.

Update

Well...we're still here it's been a long time since Sept 8th. So sorry for the delay, posting pictures on here just takes so so so long. I have to give it up for Christy, she posts almost daily and posts lots of pics. I just don't have the patience. Sorry.

Anyway, we've been busy. Dyl obviously by now has gotten his cast off. He now runs around saying, "I've got two hands" When we tried to open things for him, he would say "No, I dood it I got two hands now" Very independant.

Dalton accepted Jesus as his Saviour. VERY PROUD PARENTS HERE!! We're absolutley elated to know that huge decision has been made so early. We know that he will still sin, but it's great to know that as a Christian Jesus blood still covers our sins. I'm just so glad that he's my brother in Christ and will be with me in eternity.

Dylan plays dress up ALL the time, he's either Woody, Buzz, a football player (with a baseball helmet that he calls a football helmet) or Darth Vader. He uses his imagination constantly. There is never a dull moment.

Dalt is now a yellow belt in Tae Kwon Do. He goes almost every night. We usually don't go on Friday's due to football games. It was neat seeing him test. He's so little and yet he can yell so big. He's really quite shy when he has to do things on his own.

They still both love school. We've been out for fall break this week, so Monday will be a tough morning. They've been sleeping til 7...it's really been nice.

As for me and my spouse, we're great. Michael is now working 4 ten hour days AND every Friday. He was told he'd have Fridays off, but maintenance CAN'T be off when machines still run, so he's there. It's okay we get at least 10 hours of overtime each week. I am just still loving teaching girls PE. Makes me all the more sure that I want no more children in case one is a girl:)

Now for the pics.

The Big Blue Cast

Got our cast this morning and he did fabulous. A little wince of pain when the cast was being molded to the bone, but not even a tear.

Pics of the Weekend

Dylan's bo-bo, so thankful it didn't break the skin and require stitches.
Broken arm and all but he's still gotta attack Daddy with Dalton.

Showing off the splinting.

Another shot of the bo-bo, what a sweet face.

A different angle of the bo-bo, this thing is huge and ugly....

Dylan and a "football helmet"
Dalton the best big brother.
Dalton and Dylan being football players, we gotta get them some real helmets.
Dalton in one of the tents that we made this weekend.

One of Dylan's many hats, here he was being Darth Vader with his Light Saver...he will correct you if you say light saber. We just let him think he's right.
Sitting on a towel to paint, our table got painted as well. It was still wet out from the rain the night before. We get up and at em early around here.
Saturday morning painting and getting extra messy.....
They let Dylan race too, he loved it.
Running through the obstacle course on Tuesday night.

Racing at the end of Tae Kwon Do on Tuesday night.
