YAY!!

Leigh Ann did it, she's on her way home from Atlanta now. She ran the Peachtree in just over an hour. It's a 6.2 mile race and that is a great time. Especially for a mom of 3. Go sis go, I'm proud of you, maybe I can do it next year.

Happy Fourth!

Our family created great memories of the Fourth. We used to always go to my PawPaw's (Daddy's Dad's) with all of my Dad's brothers and their families. There was tons of food, it was always blazing hot, sugar cane, four wheelers, lemonade, and fireworks. I really enjoyed getting together with my cousins. I miss those days. I miss PawPaw and Maggie. We all got together at Uncle Ben's in October and that was great. We got to see our children do the things that we used to do. We are all grown and it made me realize that I want my kids to have those great memories too.
We always gathered at my Grandadaddy's(Mama's Daddy's) in May (birthday party) and Christmas. May parents did their best to instill great family values in us. I think they did a pretty good job. I do love my family, as well as my extended family.
Oh Leigh Ann is running a 10K today....that's 6 miles. Bless her heart. Good Luck Lee Lee (DeeDee as Dylan says). She thinks she broke two toes, they are very bruised....pray that they don't bother her too much and she can run the whole way!
Thanks to all the people who served our country so we can enjoy all the freedoms we have! This includes my sweet husband!

Friday night with the Bryants

I know that my life and family are different than most peoples. We don't do a whole lot, we don't have a lot of company, we don't go over to friends houses. We spend alot of time together and we enjoy each others company. For that I am so Thankful!!
Today we did a whole lot of nothing. I cleaned this morning and everyone pitched in. I wish I had gotten pictures of Dylan cleaning the windows and doors. Dalton said "okay we all need a job, I'll go water the window and the ferns." This SOUNDS great then you realize there's a planter out front that he likes to make real muddy and dig in.
Michael and Dalt went fishing at 5:30 this morning. They were home by 8. We went back fishing at 6 tonight. Watching my boys enjoy fishing is so sweet. They just laughed and played together. Dalton caught 3 fish, only one was a keeper. Poppa skinned it and Dylan said "hey dammy (Grammy) we have bones" Grammy: "yes Dyl we do, where are your bones" Dylan: "in our chicken wings" Grammy:"you have bones in you too Dyl" Dyl: "No, we don't, I duv you, Bye"
Funny boy.
As I type Michael and Dalton have run to the store to buy bacon. In the pictures he is in the garden picking a tomato for a bacon and tomato sandwich. It's 9:00 here and we're still outside!! That's where we stay, y'all know that!!

My sweet honey and Dylan in the garden picking tomatos. Frog catching is great at 9pm. Look at that smile.
This is the cactus that Dalt transplanted today. It stayed on our carport last night and this morning he decided to plant and water it, he kept saying in a few days it's going to grow. This is Chance The Turtle Bryant. I think he loves our late nights.
And finally, this is the view over my left shoulder as I typed this entry. He's waiting to watch Lightning McQueen on the computer. Precious! Life is good! I love my family!

Thursday, July 2, 2009

A stormy Thursday but we still tried to ride the waves for a while, this was actually the day we got the most sunburned, even with sunscreen and t-shirts. Beach sun is always so much better.
The two surfer dudes, they are precious, Dylan is always trying to do whatever Dalt does. Imitation is the biggest form of flattery.

Sweet and tired, long day at the beach. They were zonked early every night.

Mid yawn maybe..pretty funny face, he was pooped too. We wore them out and all went to bed early.
