Wednesday

Had to stay late for a meeting yesterday and had church last night. I picked the boys up at 4:50 and then we ran to WalMart for Dalton's prize. Dalton got a 6 dollar motorcycle (boom boom bibible as Dylan calls it) and Dylan got a 13 dollar bed time story book. These prizes are killing the bank account! At church Dalton said the 15 books of the Bible he knows. He can say them all the way to Nehemiah. He has learned 12 bible verses and the fruits of the spirit. It's amazing all the things their little brains can hold. Dylan can say the fruits of the spirit, Genesis and Exodus and he can complete some of Dalton's Bible verses if you get him started. I figure if he can quote scenes from Barnyard, then he can learn Bible verses too. I'm so proud of our boys! We didn't get home til 7:45 and they had to have baths. Late night but they were both in bed by 8:45. They both woke up once last night but that's it. We all got up at 6:45. I had to shower and be at work by 7:15, I didn't get there till 7:17, but that's pretty good considering. Good thing we live close to work! Today I have to stay late for another meeting then go shopping for breakfast for FCA tomorrow. But then it's FRIDAY!! Can I get a Hooray?? I love Fridays.
My mom asked for prayer for a friend of hers son. His name is Michael Blake. He's in his 30's and has a wife and young children. He was diagnosed with cancer, went into remission and now it's back. His doctors have told him to quit work and cherish this little bit of time with his family. How sad, but we know that our God is a God of miracles. He can be cured, "For nothing is impossible with God." Luke 1:37. I claim that verse for Michael and his family, I pray that you will do the same.
Pray about FCA tomorrow. It's a fabulous outreach ministry! I Hope the rest of your day is great! Remember God is good ALL the time:)

Confession is good for the soul:)

I have a confession that I must make. Our oldest son Dalton is four. He is ALL boy, however, up until this past week he has been getting into our bed to sleep. He slept by himself when he was a baby until he was about 16 months old. At 16 months he began getting ear infections and in order for us to get some sleep we placed him in our bed. He's been falling asleep in his bed, but getting into ours around 2 or 3 in the morning. None of us get good rest because he is a wiggler. Now that you know that we have been terrible parents, know that we are getting better!! He has slept in his bed every night this week. Last night he slept without getting up even once. I have been getting up when he gets up and putting him back in his bed about two times each night, but not one time last night did he get up. Hooray, Dalton!! We're are so proud of him, he can do it. I knew that he could, I was just unsure about me. But I did it too! Yeah me!! Last night Dylan, the nearly two year old, who never wakes up in the middle of the night, woke up. I went in patted him and we all went back to sleep. It was a good night and now I look forward to many many more! Dalton is getting a reward of some kind today. I plan on getting him signed up for soccer as well. I'm sure there will be many stories to tell about that!
Yesterday was another great day. We played outside all afternoon. Michael found a turtle and left it in a box on the table for them to admire. We had to set it free when we got home. Racing dump trucks, riding bikes, sliding, blowing bubbles and of course jumping on the trampoline make up our typical evenings. After we got in the boys took a bath, I cooked, we read, and they went to bed. Peaceful cleaning and then I went to bed.
I've been reading the Power of a Positive Mom (thanks Lee Lee) and boy do we have huge responsiblities ladies. I love knowing that I have that much influence most of the time, but sometimes it's scary. Last night I read about the temptation of the pity party. No matter how hard our lives seem I know that my Saviour suffered more! How can we have pity parties when we think about that. Thank you Jesus for saving me and for allowing me to have good and bad days with my loved ones!! Yall have a good day!

Great Weekend

It was a nice long weekend!! However, it was still too short. We went to Eli's 9th birthday party. I can't believe he's nine. He's such a kind and loving 9 year old. Children just grow up too fast. I have always had trouble taking Dalton places by myself, but this time was great. He was great at the party and on the ride to and from. I am so proud!
Dylan is growing too fast. He is trying to say everything! He is really hung up on Lightning McQueen. He takes the cars to bed with him at night and loves to run them through the toy car wash. Last night he was feeding Dalton's new T-Rex popcorn. He also pretended to change his diaper! Dalton didn't like that too much. He told Dylan to stop doing girly things with his dinosaur. So then we had to take the dinosaur out to the trampoline so Dalton and Dylan could both jump on it. They are too funny. All boy!
Content that's how I feel this morning! Way too blessed to be stressed!! Hope you have a great day too.
